A Farewell to Arms

A Farewell to Arms - Ernest Hemingway, John Slattery *Sigh* I was listening to the audio book version of A Farewell to Arms, and I was honestly trying to enjoy it. I did like the dialogue between the soldiers, although my skin prickled every time the narrator used the racial slur W**.</.i> I also found the love interest, Catherine, insufferable. She was too accomadating because of her emotional neediness. Frankly, I found the scenes between the narrator and Catherine to slow the book down. I listened to half the book befre saying "to hell with it." I'll just trust everyone's opinion that Ernest Hemingway was one of the great American authors of the 20th century.
