Well, I succumbed to the propaganda and read Fifty Shades of Grey. I borrowed it from my library's eBook collection and I half read it and half skimmed it in three days. I can understand the hoopla over the sex in the book. When Christian Grey and Ana Steele have vanilla sex for the first time, it is enticing. He makes her feel as beautiful as a goodness and as sexy as Venus. Every one's first time should be so stellar and affirming. However, aside from their bedroom activities, the story seems boring. Ana's inner dialogue is irritating at best, or, maybe it is the writing. I swear if I read Ana describe her vagina as " there" one more time, I would've hurled my iPad. This story had potential to be darker & sexier. I wish it could have been tighter. At 484 pages, it really was just too long and redundant.
