Jane Eyre (Bloomsbury Classics)

Jane Eyre - Charlotte Brontë, Celia Rees I never thought I would love one of those "old-timey-classic-Euro-centric" novels, but I absolutely loved Jane Eyre. I probably enjoyed it more because I was listening to an unabridged audiobook, and that made it easier to understand the words I didn't know in context. It was long and could have been edited to be shorter, but I enjoyed the high drama and romance. It is probably a book best enjoyed as an adult or avid reader. Given as an assignment, it will be hated. (Although if it weren't assigned, I would have never known the joys of To Kill A Mockingbird and Go Tell It on the Mountain--two books that still touch me.)
